August's Meeting

TNT members brought donation for our Troops, Dave Schaffer worked a
deal with the Post Office on shipping, and the troops from Clemson were
tickled to death for the gifts. We will try to continue the support every other
month. There is an outfit from Greenville that was recently deployed.

The Off-Road Expo in Easley has been rescheduled for September 15.
Weather should be a little cooler.

Club DUES of $45 and due next month. Last year TNT members voted to
have TNT dues be combined with membership to Southern Four Wheel
Drive Association due on or before the first Sunday on September. In
order to better represent SFWDA as a subsidiary club, each TNT member
will be a member of Southern. Southern is responsible for keeping open
Tellico, Beasley Knob, Uwharrie and lobbies against closures and potential
opening of new areas. Dues for next year will be $45 ($15 for TNT and $30
for SFWDA) - still a great deal.
Please make a special effort to attend September's meeting to assure that
your dues are paid and accredited. If you are not able to attend September's
meeting, please E-mail either Tripp (tripp3@bellsouth.net) or Jim
(broncoberliner@charter.net) for special arrangements. According to the
club bylaws there will be a $5 late fee for after September 30, this will help
cover extra time and mailing of Southern dues.

Mark, a guest, won the 50/50 raffle; which helps out the Rocky Bottom Camp
of the Blind.

There may be an impromptu trip to Gulches to prepare for Dixie Run - date to
be announced

21st Annual Dixie Run at Tellico. If you make one ride a year, this is the one!!
